When is SEQL?
The 2016-17 Summer Institute is July 11-15 AND July 18-22 from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Five follow-up sessions will be held on Saturdays during the 2016-17 academic year from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and there will be two field trips. The dates for the sessions will be decided on during the summer institute. |
What will teachers gain from attending SEQL?
Professional development on the use of inquiry-based methods for teaching mathematics and science using engaging activities from an experienced instructional team who have conducted successful mathematics and science workshops since the late 1990's. The focus will be on providing participants the content knowledge and pedagogical skills necessary for meeting the Missouri Learning Standards and Common Core State State Standards in literacy, science, and mathematics. Participants will be actively engaged in a variety of hands-on activities and will learn how to develop inquiry-based activities that can be utilized to enhance student motivation and learning.
